Access Armor Duct Access Doors

With their unique design and high quality construction, Omni Access Armor Duct Access Doors are an excellent choice for commercial kitchen exhaust systems. Not only do they provide access to your ductwork, they are also safer to install and operate than typical duct access doors.

How Do “Access Armor” Doors Work?

Duct access doors are engineered to provide a convenient means of entry into the components of your commercial kitchen exhaust system ductwork. A hole is cut out in the duct and the panel is installed. Once installed, the door provides a fire-tight, air-tight, grease-tight seal with no obstructions to the air flow in your ventilation system.

The door enables easy access to your ductwork allowing personnel to inspect, maintain, and clean the ducts. The ability to clean the ducts is particularly important because if you can’t access the ducts, grease, dirt and oil buildup inside of them will become a major fire hazard. The buildup can also affect the safety and performance of other components of your exhaust system, including your exhaust fan.

What Makes “Access Armor” Doors Different?

One of the first things you’ll notice about the Omni Access Armor Duct Access Doors are their shape. The octagonal design eliminates sharp edges that can catch on tools, clothing or skin making “Access Armor” making installation much safer than typical square or rectangular access doors. The octagonal shape also makes the door safer and easier to remove and replace.

“Access Armor” doors are made of high grade, precision cut 316 stainless steel. 316 stainless steel is a chromium-nickel alloy that’s great for severe environments and elevated temperatures. It is very low maintenance and offers a long service life as well as an attractive finish. And thanks to the addition of molybdenum, it has an increased resistance to corrosion and can withstand the harshest of industrial chemicals and solvents.

The fiberglass rope seal is rated to 2300°F and exceeds the NFPA96 fire code as well as UL specifications. In addition, Omni “Access Armor” doors are made in the USA and carry a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty.

In addition to being safer to handle, the Access Armor Duct Access Door is also extremely easy to install. It comes with a simple peel and stick template. There are no screws, bolts or wing nuts – nothing to lose. The unique Cam-lock closure system is built right into the door.
